Data the extension handles
After you click the extension, it reads the active page’s title, URL, and direct PDF-link metadata so you can choose files. For files you select, it handles PDF URLs, filenames, retrieval times, file sizes, file bytes, and locally calculated SHA-256 checksums. This information is used only to create the ZIP and manifest.csv you request.
Collection, transmission, sharing, and sale
The developer does not collect, receive, transmit, store, sell, or share your page information, PDF content, URLs, filenames, manifest, browsing history, or generated ZIP. The extension contains no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or remote executable code.
Your browser connects directly to the selected PDF hosts to retrieve files. The extension requests access only to those hosts. It records which origin grants it acquired for the job, preserves matching grants that existed beforehand, and removes job-acquired access after completion, cancellation, workspace close, or the next browser startup. An unexpected browser or operating-system crash can delay cleanup until that next startup; users can also review or remove site access from Chrome’s extension settings. Retrieval omits browser credentials; the extension does not bypass logins, paywalls, or access controls.
Storage and retention
Your selected job information is kept temporarily in Chrome’s session storage so it can appear in the visible packaging workspace. It is removed after a completed package and is cleared when the browser session ends. PDF bytes are held only in browser memory while the package is created. The completed ZIP is saved to the location you choose.
Sensitive URL protection
By default, the manifest redacts values for common token, signature, authorization, API-key, and session query parameters. The unmodified URL is used only for the direct retrieval you requested.
Security and limited use
Data access is limited to the extension’s single purpose: creating a user-requested local PDF evidence package. The extension does not use or transfer data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated purposes.
PDF Evidence Packager’s use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices and deletion
You choose each file and can cancel a job. Closing the browser session clears unfinished session data. You can remove the extension at any time from Chrome’s Extensions page.
Changes
If the extension’s data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before the changed behavior is released.
